A New Beginning
Alison Miller Wins Unanimous Approval
The Rev. Alison B. Miller received a resounding unanimous vote on May 15 to become our fourth settled minister! She accepted our call to thunderous applause.
The Search Committee members thank everyone for participating during Candidating Week and voting “YES.” They are proud and ecstatic about the overwhelming endorsement of their choice. The vote was 168—0, with one abstention.
“It’s been a long two years,” said Annette Tyler, member of the Search Committee. “We have learned so much from our interim ministers, from the Unitarian Universalist Association, from other congregations, from you, and from each other. It has been a privilege working on the Search Committee.
“To toot our own horns: When we began, we thought that each Search Committee member was talented and had something to add to the committee; now we know that each committee member is talented and has added something very special to the committee and to the Fellowship as a whole. And we had fun. And we will continue to be contributing Fellowship members.”
In case you’ve forgotten: The other members of the Search Committee are Carol Todd (chair), Helene Ferm, Janet Kreha, Tony Rutigliano, Stu Sendell and Joe Uhrhane.
