| The Macromedia Flash Paper Reader is a convenient way to read documents within a web browser. It uses the ubiquitous "Flash" software technology which enlivens so many web pages with colorful graphics animations. www.macromedia.com There's very little to learn to use this tool effectively: Navigation through document: Use the right- and left-facing arrows to advance a page at a time, or Use the "hand" cursor to scroll up or down, or Use the up or down arrow keys on your keyboard, or Click and drag on the vertical scroll bar on the right of the document window, or Type in an actual page number in the rectangular opening and press Enter. Adjusting the size of what you're reading: Click on the "full page" icon (sheet of paper with arrows pointing inward), or Click on the "full width" icon (sheet of paper with arrows pointing outward), or Click and drag the horizontal slider to enlarge or reduce the size of the text. Selecting individual pieces of text (to copy elsewhere or select for printing): Click on the "I" icon and click/drag your cursor for selections (Click on the "hand" icon to resume its scrolling function) To print all or selected pages: Click on the printer icon to bring up a dialog box for all of your printers, and to choose printing options and whether to print a selection, a range of pages, or everything. To open the document in a separate window: Click on the "rectangle-within-a-rectangle" icon (to right of printer icon), and the document will open in a separate, larger, window, for even greater ease of enlargement and reading. To search for a name or any sequence of characters: Type in your search phrase in the rectangle to the left of the "magnifying glass" symbol. Click on this "magnifier" or simply hit "Enter." Each successive click or "Enter" will take you to successive occurrences of this string of characters in the document.
