Morristown Soup Kitchen – Tuesday, January 10
Thanks for the wonderful special
MUF Community Soup Kitchen Collection in December! And thanks for the surge in
soup and casserole makers and help on the day of. Still need casseroles January 10. We
served 196 hungry folks on our December date. Store casseroles in MUF freezer prior to
January 8; thereafter, in fridge. Clearly mark for Community Soup Kitchen. Contact

Morris Homeless Solutions Monthly Dinner – Saturday, January 14 – 4:45 - 7 p.m.
Be a
bulwark against the pain and loneliness of homelessness. Bring some cheer – just be
yourself and you can still have time for your own Saturday eve plans! – Help to cook and
serve homeless shelter residents their monthly MUF cheeseburger & birthday cake dinner.

MUF Members…. Thanks for Your Amazing Support for the 2nd Annual MUF Gifts of
Conscience Holiday Fair!
As of December 14 — with still one week to go—you all have
stepped forward and purchased fair trade items from Ten Thousand Villages or purchased
Heifer income-producing animals…and donated dozens of “cause-based donations” valued
at more than $9,000. This is a phenomenal outpouring! So many of your friends and
relatives will have received these special holiday gifts this year…and so many of our poorest
brothers and sisters here and around the globe will be the beneficiaries of your thoughtfulness. Full report to follow! Help us next year to be even more effective. Contact karenburns@casaessex.org with your ideas and you can help us in 2006!

New MUF Support for Dover Family –
MUF has agreed to “sponsor” a second Dover
single mother and her four children who are working with the excellent NORWESCAP
(Northwest NJ Coalition Against Poverty) agency. While they strive for self-sufficiency,
interim help is needed from MUF for basics for the family home – linens, towels, curtains,
clothes for the children. Few frills. Details @ SR Table.
