Our second concert: December 11, 2004, 8 p.m. Gabriel Chamber Ensemble

This charming group was ready to enchant us last year until an accident befell one of its performers and we had to substitute a different ensemble. Its repertoire includes the Classical and Romantic periods, as well as music of living composers. It includes Anita Gordon of Whippany on piano; Simon Maurer, originally from Switzerland, on violin; Agnès Maurer, a native of France, on viola, and Gerall Hieser of Bedminster on cello. Enthusiastically praised for its superb interpretation of the diverse repertoire, the Gabriel Ensemble is the resident piano quartet at the Vermont Music and Arts Center. Outstanding musical artists,
