The Great Migration, Tanzania and Kenya

On October 11, Bob Scott and Irene Mendelson will be presenting slides from their August trip to Tanzania and Kenya to view The Great Migration, the annual movement of wildebeests and zebra from dry pastures to the greener habitats.

The presentation will include slides from their trip to the Chobe River in March. The safari included visits to Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, along with the eastern Serengeti and finally the Masai Mara area of Tanzania and Kenya famous for its pictures of wildebeest herds crossing the Mara River. It will also include slides of cultural tour of the town of Mtu wa Mbu and pictures of Masai herdsmen.

The presentation will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the meeting room after the Open Questions discussion, and is expecting to last 90 minutes with time for questions.
