Attention movie, horror film and Halloween lovers!
The indie horror film "From the Shadows" (2022) was filmed almost entirely at MUUF during the pandemic.
Althouse Prods paid the fellowship to use many rooms and areas of the fellowship for two weeks of filming in a row, with a few extra "pick-up" days at a later time. The finished feature film was in several film festivals and was released on Amazon and Tubi.
MUUF member David Landau was the director of photography on the movie and was the one who recommended the fellowship as a possible location to the producers, as a way to generate some income for MUUF. The Fun Committee will host a free screening of the film on Saturday 31st - Halloween- at 2pm at the fellowship in the meeting room. The film is rated R for some blood and a little gore. There will be a short introduction from David and a Q&A after the screening for those interested.
Baby-sitting will be available in the family room during the screening for those that would like it. While an RSVP is not required, it would be greatly appreciated.
Come see how spooky the fellowship mansion can truly be when almost no one is around! See you on All Hallows afternoon!
