If you’ve been looking for a way to dive deeper into our community but aren't sure where to start, we invite your whole family to join us for Starting Point . Starting Point is a relaxed, four-session gathering designed specifically for those looking to build authentic connections. We’ve reimagined this experience to focus on what matters most: sharing our stories and finding our people. What to Expect Throughout our time together, we’ll explore the Unitarian Universalist journey by listening to one another’s "spiritual roadmaps." It’s a space for deep conversation and "small circle" ministry, where the goal is simply to discover how we can support each other and where your personal path might lead next. We’ve Simplified the Logistics We know that staying after the service can make for a long Sunday, especially for busy families. To make it as easy as possible for you to fully engage, we’re taking care of the details: Lunch is on us:  We will coordinate a delicious meal for everyone at every session. Childcare provided:  Free, professional childcare is available on-site so you can focus on conversation while your kids are in great hands nearby. Join us for a children’s Easter Egg Hunt during coffee hour! We hope you’ll come celebrate and enjoy this fun tradition together Easter morning. This year, the Endowment Committee received eleven grant applications with requested funds totaling $68,694.  The funds available for 2025-26 are $12,329.  The Endowment Grant Application Review Committee (Beverly Hays, David Horst, Tom Perch, Carolyn Schwartz and I) met on March 12, 2026, and discussed each application in detail.  The Committee recommended 3 full grants as requested and 1 partial and sent its recommendations to the Board on March 17, 2026.  Reasons for not recommending certain grants were also included. It is expected that the Board will review these recommendations and advise the Committee of its selection shortly.  Approved grants will be announced at the June annual meeting.

Thanks to Fellowship member Leslie Moran, you can now bring MUUF your used water filters from your refrigerator and/or drinking water filtration system. After they have drained completely, drop them in the white container in the Mansion coat room, right next to the green bin where you have been bringing us your old sneakers. Both products are shipped to companies that upcycle them, avoiding adding waste to the landfills.

It’s not too late!  Our first session of the UUA Common Read  is kicking off this evening and there is still a seat at the table for you. This year, we are diving into Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection  by Deepa Iyer. Whether you are a lifelong activist or someone wondering how to take the first step toward a more just world, this program is designed to help you find your unique "ecosystem" role—be it a Weaver, a Builder, a Caregiver, or a Disruptor. Choose Your Path We have designed multiple ways for the Morristown UU Fellowship community to engage: Adults & Older Youth (Hybrid):  Join Nick and Rev. Sasha for a small-group ministry style reflection. Our first session is tonight, March 19, from 5:30–7:00 PM . Multigenerational Workshops:  Perfect for children and families! These active Saturday morning sessions (starting April 11) use the companion book, We Are the Builders! , to explore social change through play and synergy. DIY Small Groups:  If you already have a group that meets, we provide the study guide and support for you to lead your own three-session journey. Why Join? The Common Read is more than just a book club; it is a shared journey into what it means to be human and accountable in a complex world. “The time has come for members & friends to band together, and to shape the fortunes of us all…” Beginning on Sunday, March 29th - we bid thee, join us in support of our Annual Generosity Campaign—our great Pledge Quest for the year ahead! A new Age shall dawn in the Shire of Morristown—and though shadows lengthen and the road before us may seem uncertain, our Unitarian Universalist congregation shall shine as a steadfast beacon of hope, compassion, and justice. As the Fellowship in the Middle-earth tales of old, so are we called to rise as one, heeding the summons to bear light, love, and courage into our realm in need. For this is the season when our Board of Trustees, staff, and devoted committees labor with care and purpose to forge the plans for the coming Fellowship Year. Yet even the sagest counsels and most careful designs cannot be brought to life without thee. It is thy generous pledge that sustains our shared mission, a vital force that keeps our Fellowship a welcoming haven, and carries our good work far beyond the bounds of our halls. We welcome you on Sunday, March 29th to tarry after the service - to partake in hearty fare and flowing drink, to make merry in celebration of the campaign’s beginning, and to claim thy pledge scrolls for the journey ahead. There will be a presentation on the Endowment Fund on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in the Meeting Room to hear a recommendation to the Board of Trustees regarding investment of the Fund. There will also be a meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 7 p.m.

Are we welcoming? Welcome is often in the eye of the beholder, but many would say yes we are. But not officially.  We need your help to fix this! What? In the 1980s and 90s the Unitarian Universalist Association launched a Welcoming Congregation Program . At the time we signed up for the program, showing members of the LGBTQ+ community that we were a safe and welcoming place for them.  Each year, we are tasked with engaging in the Welcoming Congregations Five Practices of Welcome Renewal Program . This encourages us to continue an active engagement with the values of the Welcoming Congregations Program.  Unfortunately, we have let the certification lapse.  We have not forgotten or not practiced the values of Welcome, just forgot some of the practices and paperwork associated with the program. This is where we need your help.  We are looking to put together a team that will help lead us in engaging in the Five Practices:  Become a Welcoming Congregation Becoming a Welcoming Congregation is the expectation of every Unitarian Universalist congregation. While over 800 congregations are currently “approved,” the nearly 300 congregations that are not are encouraged to fulfill the original objectives of the Welcoming Congregations application. Welcoming Worship Services The second Practice of Welcome Renewal is incorporating Welcoming Worship Services into our ordinary calendar of worship every year. These services might occur during LGBTQ+ Pride Month or any other day of observance. An LGBTQ marriage ceremony, naming ritual, or remembrance ceremonies may also fulfill this objective. Welcoming Days of Observance The third Practice of Welcome Renewal is an annual recognition and celebration of the Welcoming Days of Observance. These days and seasons are important to LGBTQ+ / TGQNB communities because they bring visibility and affirmation after generations of invisibility and erasure. These days remind all that “All of who you are is sacred. All of who you are is welcome.” Welcoming Religious Education The fourth Practice of Welcome Renewal is an annual opportunity for your congregation to experience a Welcoming Congregation Module. A WC module is a UUA approved seminar / webinar. Each year the UUA LGBTQ program office will offer at least one Welcoming Webinar engaging LGBTQ+ / TGQNB issues and topics. Welcoming Congregations may register for a webinar or may chose to sponsor a local seminar for its local congregation and community. Support a Welcoming Project The fifth Practice of Welcome Renewal is Support a Welcoming Project. Welcoming Congregations (WCs) are congregations that give generously of our gifts and resources. To remain current, WCs may donate a sizable donation to a local and national organization, campaign, or project that uplifts the dignity of LGBTQ+ / TGQNB communities. If you would like to be part of this team, we are hoping to have our first meeting sometime in the end of April or beginning of May.
