RE Classes Fall

11:30am - 12:30pm

A hands-on, action-packed exploration of Unitarian Universalist values!

This fall, our 5th and 6th graders will dive into the UU Values Challenge, an engaging and highly experiential class, designed specifically for active, neurodiverse, and energetic pre-teens, this program moves learning off the page and into action through team-building games, collaborative challenges, and embodied activities rather than traditional seated discussion.

The curriculum centers around one big question: "How do our Unitarian Universalist values challenge us—and what tools do they call and guide us to create as we take on life's challenges?" Using a compass as a visual metaphor to help guide our journey, children navigate eight unique, active sessions. The first two sessions focus on Love as the core of our faith, followed by six sessions exploring each individual UU value. Grounded in proven experiential and flow-learning models, each class integrates physical challenges, group reflection, social skill building, and a shared snack time to foster deep connection, trust, and community.

Our 5th and 6th grade class meets on Sundays during the fall from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM during our Faith Formation time, immediately following the worship service and social hour. Every class is led by at least two trained, background-checked volunteer leaders dedicated to creating an inclusive, neurodivergent-friendly environment where all kids can thrive.
