Our pledge quest is in full force, and many of our fellow adventurers have heeded the call! The Annual Generosity Campaign is well underway, so if you have not entered your pledge yet, we beseech you to get thy pledge entered today! As the Fellowship in the Middle-earth tales of old, so are we called to rise as one, heeding the summons to bear light, love, and courage into our realm in need. Our budget target this year is $519,000 - and we have received 39% of our pledge goal! Of our 163 pledge households, 37 have entered their pledges - so we beseech our other 77% pledging households to get their pledges entered this week! Verily, our noble quest hath been blessed by a great boon: for fully half of the Adventurers, and more besides, have increased the measure of their tribute beyond that of the year preceding. All offerings, be they great or humble, are received with boundless gratitude, yet we hold especial reverence for those worthy households whose further gifts aid us against the rising tide of the world's costs and the slow, weary burden of the Age's inflation. The treasury of our Fellowship is filled chiefly by the generous bounty of our members and friends; wherefore it is thy worthy tribute that sustains our common purpose, a vital force that keeps our Fellowship a welcoming haven, and bears our good work far beyond the ancient bounds of our halls. To meet our annual budget, w e ask that you please be as generous as you can to help us meet our 2026-2027 Pledge goal, as your support will help cover critical Fellowship needs, including: Budgeting for a Rental Coordinator to assist with the rentals of our hallowed halls. Increasing our staff salaries and hours to better align with inflation and the rising cost of living in our Shire, and meet our Fellowship’s needs. Cover the interest payments for the Construction Loan one-year extension with our Operating Budget. We also call upon all wizened members to re-examine your level of giving and consider advancing to the next tier of abundance. Even a small increase is a potent spell, enhancing our ability to carry out the ministries that touch so many lives. Our Sunday Volunteer Service Fair will be held this Sunday, April 12th, immediately after the Sunday Service at 11:00 AM in Chu Family Hall. If you are a group representative, would like your group to participate and have not yet signed up for a table, please text/call Carolyn Evans, or email cevans@muuf.org , ASAP. If your group is participating, please join us setting up tables before the service at 9:00 on Sunday before the service. This is a great opportunity for groups and members/friends to connect to help fill our volunteer service ranks. Volunteering is, ideally, a service we perform to help others and to enrich ourselves. The fair is also a way to learn about all many of the activities currently happening at the Fellowship. As poet Tagore said: “I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.” In that spirit, hope to see everyone on April 12th!

Wow! It’s already time to plan for the next Fellowship year! All groups and committees are invited to add their important dates to the Fellowship calendar (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027). Group leaders (or their representatives) are invited to meet with Reverend Sasha Thursday, April 16th, at 7:00 PM on Zoom. Important dates include group events that require space or services that need to be coordinated with other Fellowship and community activities. General Assembly (the annual meeting of the Unitarian Universalist Association - the UUA) is coming up in June. The Morristown UU Fellowship will be “sending” five members to represent us at General Assembly Business meeting and voting sessions. This year, being “sent” is easy – you don’t have to travel! The Business sessions of GA will be a set of virtual meetings held June 14-16 online in the afternoon and evening, and it can be free to attend as a representative of MUUF. Please contact the Board if you’d like to be considered for being a representative to GA. You can attend the General Assembly without being a representative as well, and registration fees are still “early bird” rates until the end of April. Go online to register to attend . The Worship and community sessions of GA will be held online and at local gatherings. Our nearest Satellite Site is at UU Montclair, and their invitation was shared in the newsletter on March 12 . This year’s theme is “Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere” and the worship agenda looks fabulous. This year’s Ware lecture features Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde (she gave the Benediction at the 2020 DNC and the homily at the January 2025 interfaith prayer service following Donald Trump’s second inauguration – a sermon which invoked the ire of the administration). Additional speakers include poet Crystal Simone Smith and the Rev. Liz Walker, and worship will be led by Rev. Katie Roman Griffin, Re. Rachel Lonberg, and the Rev. Jen Yousun Ryu, as well as local worship leaders at the local community Satellite sites. Join UUs locally to appreciate our CommUUnity! We have an important update regarding our Common Read  journey! To better accommodate our busy schedules and bring everyone together for a more powerful, unified experience, we are consolidating our multigenerational workshops. Instead of three separate Saturday sessions, we will now meet for one single, action-packed day  of learning, reflection, and community building. Save the New Date! Whether you are a child, a parent, or an elder, your voice is essential to the synergy of our faith community. For decades, the Morristown Unitarian Universalist Fellowship  has been a sanctuary—a place where we believe that "all of who you are is sacred." As you may know, the Fellowship will be hosting their first-ever theatrical performance in Chu Hall in December: the family-friendly classic, Amahl and the Night Visitors, presented by Light Opera of New Jersey.
